FAQ Forum on Schools

Ten candidates for Ashburn, Catoctin, and at-large seats on the Loudoun County School Board willanswer questions from voters from 7-10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Belmont Ridge Middle School in Lansdowne.
Current School Board representative Robert DuPree (Dulles) will discuss the bond referendum on the Nov. 8 ballot for construction of four new schools, three of them in Ashburn District.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Scott York (R) and challenger Tom Bellanca (D), and the two candidates for the 10th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, Dave Butler andRandy Minchew, will also appear.
These are the people who will decide how to spend 68% percent of Loudoun County taxrevenue to build and operate public schools. Potential topics include funding, testing, construction, and the state funding formula: everything you want to know about schools!
The program is arranged by races so the public can attend the races that interest them most.
