Meet the Author, Chris Crutcher

Join critically acclaimed, young adult author, Chris Crutcher, at the Ashburn Library for a free event that is open to the public.

“All my books reflect what kids are asking, ‘Who will listen to me? Who will tell me the truth?’ It’s a tall order, but I do my best not to tell a lie. When kids ask real questions, I’ll go for real answers – every single time,” said Crutcher.

Crutcher is the winner of dozens of literary awards including the prestigious American Library Association’s Margaret A. Edwards Award for his ongoing devotion to young adults. He received the National Intellectual Freedom Award given by the National Council of Teachers and has been honored twice by the Assembly on Literature for Adolescents. He is the author of eleven books including Stotan!, Whale Talk, Athletic Shorts and more.
