Three Loudoun, Two Ashburn High Schools are Newsweek’s Best

All land in America's top 200, with Stone Bridge topping the rest of Virginia at No. 127.

Loudoun County grabbed three of the top 200 spots on Newsweek’s “America’s Best High Schools 2011,” with Ashburn claiming two of those three slots.

Stone Bridge scored the best among high schools in Loudoun – and even Virginia, which landed eight schools on the list – at No. 127. Next came Freedom at No. 183. Briar Woods squeezed into the top 200 at No. 198. Nearby Centreville High School in Fairfax County came in at No. 177, giving Northern Virginia half of the state’s positions on the list.

Newsweek placed 500 of the nation’s schools on its list. See Newsweek's story and full list here.
