The local Ashburn Rebels 12U Baseball team won the East Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League (NVTBL) Fall 2013 AAA Championship Sunday at Lake Fairfax Park.
The Rebels dispensed with several teams from across Northern Virginia – including Burke, South County, Gainesville and others – to earn a spot in the finals playing the Vienna Hitmen. The team then put the Hitmen away as well by a score of 9-2 to win the Fall AAA East NVTBL championship.
The following players and coaches make up the Ashburn Rebels 12U team: Kraig Broecker, Christian Credno, Nicholas Famiglietti, Peyton Folsom, Alex Mancuso, Conner McGovern, Anthony Puma, Tyler Scott, Ryan Shroyer, Ethan Snyder, Brennan Speier, Quinn Stromberg, Jacob Weaver, Coach Chip Credno, Coach Paul Stromberg and Coach Greg Speier.
