Ashburn Volleyball Player Faring Well in College

Briar Woods graduate Chelsea Kaser, now playing for Muhlenberg, earned a spot on the all-conference second team.

Volleyball player Chelsea Kaser, a Briar Woods graduate who’s now a freshman at Muhlenberg College, was selected to the All-Centennial Conference second team, according to a press release from the school.

As the Mules’ libero, Kaser played in 24 of 28 matches, ranking fifth in the Centennial Conference with an average of 4.08 digs per set, according to the release. Kaser led the league in digs per set during league matches (4.68). Had she not missed the final four matches because of injury, Kaser well may have broken the school record for digs by a freshman; her total of 343 fell 23 short, according to the release.

Kaser hit double digits in digs during all but four of her 24 matches, with a high of 25 in a five-set match against DeSales. She also led Muhlenberg with 37 aces and was named to the Kean Invitational all-tournament team.
