Battle of the Birds to Decide Division 5 Football Champ in Virginia
The Briar Woods Falcons face the L.C. Bird Skyhawks Saturday.
Briar Woods’ varsity football team heads to Charlottesville Saturday, Dec. 14, to play the L.C. Bird Skyhawks, of Chesterfield County, for the 2013 VHSL Division 5 Championship. A win would make four state championships in a row for Briar Woods.
The Falcons prevailed in their past two hard-fought games against Broad Run, by a score of 37-34, and North Stafford, 27-25. The game starts at noon on the University of Virginia campus.
