Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout

The Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout will take place in Ashburn, VA on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Broad Run High School.  All high school athletes ages 14-18 are encouraged to attend. Players are asked to report to the field at noon for registration, and the tryout is scheduled to begin at 1 pm. The registration fee is $99. Many talented local players have come through Baseball Factory’s program including Vienna’s Nicholas Morabito. In 2010, Nicholas attended the Ashburn, VA Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout, where his performance earned him a selection to the prestigious 2010 Team One South Showcase.  Team One Baseball has seen over 270 players go onto the Major Leagues since its inception in 1992.  Nicholas, primarily a third baseman, graduated from Bishop Denis J. O’Connell High School in 2011 and has continued his academic and baseball success at Lincoln Memorial University.

Baseball Factory’s staff of professional scouts, former professional players, and former college coaches will evaluate players on the field and lead a college recruiting question and answer session. Those in attendance will learn about the college recruiting process and the steps players should take in order to increase their chances of playing college baseball and receiving scholarships. Top players from the tryout may be selected to compete with Baseball Factory and Under Armour at the Omaha National World Series, the Cape Cod Select Training and Competition, and the Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City.

Since 1994, Baseball Factory has helped over 40,000 high school players reach their dream of playing college baseball. In addition, over 2,500 players have been drafted and 270 have gone on to play in the majors. Baseball Factory and Under Armour conduct over 180 tryouts a year throughout the country.
