Football Mini-Combine Set for Redskins Kids Club

Are you a Washington Redskins Kids Club member and 5 to 8 years old? Sign up for one of the limited spaces to participate in “Little Skins Football” event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 6, at Redskins Park. The event is free for Kids Club members (which requires a membership fee).

Players from the team will read portions of Richard Torrey’s book, A Little Skins Football Story and coach kids during an exclusive football mini-combine at the Redskins Indoor Training Facility along Loudoun County Parkway. The children’s book teaches kids about football drills and equipment, as well as how to be a team player.

Commonwealth Orthopaedics will then lead a group warm-up before participants rotate through football drills include agility and strengthening as well as a Play 60 obstacle course. Afterward, players who are available to stay will sign autographs.

Parents can participate, too, rotating through a series of stations where physical therapists from Commonwealth Orthopaedics will offer tips about how kids can prevent knee, shoulder, wrist and arm injuries.

Established in 2009, the Redskins Kids Club offers members exclusive access to year-round events ranging from stadium movie nights to player meet-and-greets.
