LTT Gold Wins Division II State Championship

The 10th grade boys basketball now moves on the national competition in Orlando.

The Loudoun Triple Threat Gold 10th Grade boys registered an impressive 5-0 record in Richmond to win the 2011 Virginia AAU Division II State Title this past weekend.

The team, representing nine area high schools, put on an impressive show. In the team’s third consecutive trip to the state finals, the team posted an average margin of victory of 20 points per game with victories over the BWSL Wolverines, the Virginia Storm, the Richmond Surge, the Virginia Warriors and the Winchester Eagles.

The championship means the LTT Gold will receive high seeding for its return trip in July to the AAU Division II Nationals at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, where they hope to improve upon a 12th place finish last year.
