The Washington Redskins fell to the Seattle Seahawks 24-14 Sunday in a disappointing loss for a team on the rise. Despite the loss, the team clearly has a solid foundation for the future.
After dominating the first quarter and storming to a 14-0 lead, Robert Griffin III hurt and already injured and braced knee. He continued, a move criticized by some, but did not finish the game.
Seattle nearly evened the score by halftime at 14-13. Neither team could muster a score in the third quarter, but the Seahawks pushed through with another 11 points in the fourth quarter, while shutting down the Redskins for the win.
Earlier in the day, the Baltimore Ravens knocked No. 1 draft pick Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts out of the playoffs at home 24-9. On Saturday, the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers defeated their respective opponents, setting next week's playoff games.
