Open Redskins Practices Start in Ashburn July 30

Now that the NFL season is back on track, practices begin at Redskin Park

Now that the months-long dispute has ended between NFL owners and players about how to divide profits, among other things, practices open to the public are set to begin Saturday at 8:30 at in Ashburn.

The dispute clouded a local debate about whether the Washington Redskins would continue to maintain a practice facility in Ashburn or move practices elsewhere. Now that the clouds have cleared, Ashburn residents have the benefit of watching their burgundy-and-gold clad team learn plays under Coach Mike Shanahan close to home.

Parking lots open 90 minutes prior to start times and gates open approximately one our prior to the practice. Practices generally last 90 minutes to two hours. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Fans should check the Redskins web site for updates, cancellations and changes. Fan Appreciation Day is Aug. 6.
