Game on! Pros vs. Joes Charity Football Game to Benefit Homeless Loudoun Youths

NFL Players led by Antwaan Randle El go head-to-head with average "Joes" in a charity flag football game Saturday to benefit homeless youths in Loudoun County.

Come out to the fourth annual Pros vs. Joes charity flag football game Saturday and watch former Washington Redskins players take on average "Joes" for charity.

Hosted by In Between the Lines, a Loudoun-based nonprofit co-founded by the organization's current president, Jim Larson, Pros vs. Joes is intended to raise awareness of youth homelessness in the Loudoun County and help provide them with food, clothes and shelter.

"(Homelessness) has become a huge problem that many are unaware of due to the economic status of Loudoun County," Larson said on the event's Facebook page. "Our goal is to provide food, clothes, and shelter to all the kids that need the assistance with counseling available."

The Pros roster currently includes Fred Smoot, Robert Henson, Shawn Springs, Rocky McIntosh and more, according to the event's Facebook page. As of this year, the Joes team leads the Pros 2-1.

The event will take place Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ashburn Community Church at 19790 Ashburn Road. It will feature several activities including autograph signing, music by 93.9, vendors, raffles and more.

The event is free but donations are welcome, Larson said. For those who wish to donate online, visit the In Between the Lines website.
