Redskins Head to Playoffs; Share Your Thoughts

Mid-season turnaround carries the team to the postseason for a home game.

The Washington Redskins pulled off the home victory against longtime rivals the Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field Sunday night to close out the NFL’s regular season and kick off a hopeful playoff run.

While the Cowboys made a game of it, turnovers made the difference. After Dallas got the ball back trailing by 3 points, quarterback Tony Romo threw his third interception. The Redskins took advantage and put the game away with a touchdown at 28-18.

Let your team know what you think on Ashburn Patch. Congratulate them or just share your thoughts about the victory and next week’s home game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Redskins Park, the team's headquarters is located in Ashburn.

My thoughts are I'm exhausted- couldn't sleep after the game last night. For us long time Redskins fans it has been a long time coming. What a great season- and literally out of the blue. The announcers tried every excuse for the Cowboys- they are hurt, missing so and so but they failed to mention the Redskins are without three extremely important defenders in Orakpo, Mayweather and Carriker and on offense they are without a pro bowl tight end in Fred Davis. Football is a game of injuries- gotta make adjustments. Last night was old time Redskins football- ram the ball down their throats until they prove they can stop it. Let's hope Tony Romo plays for Dallas for a very, very long time! Hail to the Redskins! Now I need some sleep.....
