Redskins Head to Richmond for Training Camp; Will You Make the Trip?

The team will leave behind its Ashburn headquarters for its new $10 million facility away from home during summer training.

In less than two weeks, the Washington Redskins will hold their summer training camp in Richmond, meaning local residents used to a quick journey to Redskins Park will have to head south to catch their favorite players. The camp begins July 25 with a walkthrough at 10 a.m. and practice at 3:20 p.m.

This year, even the Aug. 3 Fan Appreciation Day will be in Richmond at the new Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. In all, 28 public practice sessions are planned, each of which lasts one to two hours. Admission is free.

Fans can plan their road trip to Richmond and get a free Training Camp invitation at www.redskins.com/trainingcamp; just print the invitation and bring it with camp session.
