Redskins' WOW Women in 'the Bubble'

The female fan club had a special event Monday at Redskins Park with several players.

The Women of Washington Redskins (WOW), the team’s official women’s fan club, held its first “Ladies Night Out” event Monday and hundreds of female fans turned out for football drills, an equipment demonstration and to ask current players questions at Redskins Park.

Several players were expected to attend the event, which took place both in “the bubble” and inside the main building. The event, which was open to WOW members, also provided a raffle for prizes.

Following welcoming remarks by Larry Michael, the voice of the Washington Redskins, participants broke into groups and rotated through several offensive and defensive football skills stations, as well as an autograph and photo station.

After the station rotations, the team’s equipment staff and rookie players led an equipment demonstration, including an explanation of the uniforms and equipment. In addition participants were given the opportunity to ask questions of several players on the team.

WOW is open to all female fans and provides member access to behind-the-scenes Redskins content through an interactive website. The free membership also includes special retail offers and exclusive access to year-round events ranging from football and fitness gatherings to intimate networking luncheons.
