RGIII Spotted Hanging Out in Ashburn

The Washington Redskins Quarterback had a bite at Clyde's Monday.

Hotshot Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had dinner at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in Broadlands Monday as he nurses his knee back to health.

The young pigskin tosser known as RGIII has made an impact on Ashburn, not just with because his team’s headquarters, Redskins Park, is here, but also because of his apparent connection to the community.

After the 2011 Heisman trophy winner appeared at a Broad Run High School football game in October that doubled as breast cancer awareness event, seniors at the school made a Twitter-infused pitch to lure him to their graduation ceremony this year. [Editor’s note: Time to check the status of that request.]

All eyes are certain to be on RGIII when he takes the field this year after seriously injuring an already hurt knee during the 2012 NFL playoffs. As a rookie, he proved worth the hype, leading the team to the top of the NFC East with a spectacular winner-take-all game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Check out the story in the Washington Post to see what Griffin ate at Clyde's.
