VA Collegiate All Stars to Take On National Team
Come out and watch the world's best softball players compete at historic Fireman's Field in Purcellville, VA.
On June 19, the USA Softball Women's National Team will play a doubleheader exhibition game against the VA Collegiate All Stars.
The two will go head-to-head at 6:30 p.m. at historic Fireman's Field, 250 S. Nursery Avenue in Purcellville, VA. Gates open at 5 p.m. and first pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
The exhibition game serves as the final tryout for current and post-college players vying for 17 spots on the 2014 USA Softball Women's World championship team, which will compete for the International Softball Federation World Championship this August in The Netherlands.
Team USA will hold a free autograph session after the game at the Bush Tabernacle. Advanced tickets can be purchased at www.usasoftball.eventbrite.com.
The event is hosted by Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, Piedmont Amateur Softbal Association, and USA Softball.
