Is It Jay Gruden? Washington Redskins to Announce New Head Coach

The team has planned an afternoon press conference to release the name.

The waiting will soon be over for anxious Washington Redskins fans wondering who next will take the helm as head coach for NFL team. The team is expected to make it official this afternoon. Several reports have already surfaced that Jay Gruden, the Cincinnati Bengals offensive coodinator, has accepted the job.

At the end of the 2013 season, Mike Shanahan was released after four seasons as head coach, along with his son Kyle, the offensive coordinator, and several others.

Executive Vice President and General Manager of the team, Bruce Allen, will make the announcement at 4 p.m. today at Redskins Park in Ashburn.
