With temperatures already around 90 degrees and expected to rise, some kids in the Belmont Greene community in Ashburn decided to help others cool off.
Camila A. Fernandez, Elizabeth James and Ryan James were braving the heat with 50-cent cups of Kool-Aid. The kids and Camila's sister set up shop at the Belmont Greene pool just before noon.
The kids have been planning it all week, according to the James' mother.
