Business Donations Help Loudoun Free Clinic

Leesburg facility provides care for rising number of uninsured residents at not charge.

A $25,000 contribution from Fairfax Radiological Consultants and Inova Reston MRI Center, along with a $50,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente, came at a key time for the Loudoun Free Clinic, which experienced a 57 percent rise in patient volume last year.

The two organizations believe “in the care of the uninsured and underinsured members of our community,” Lynn Elliott, CEO of Fairfax Radiological Consultants, wrote in a letter accompanying the donation.

Kaiser’s previously funded the addition of a full-time physician assistant for the clinic among its contributions. It’s most recent donation is intended help implement a transition to electronic medical records.
