Charity Collects Halloween Costumes for Kids in Need

A Northern Virginia non-profit will be collecting costumes in Ashburn this month with the hopes of helping children in need.

The Chantilly-based Let’s Help Kids will be collecting the costumes through August 31 at the Ashburn Sports Complex at 20585 Ashburn Village Blvd.

The group hopes to re-sell the costumes this fall at a reduced rate to low-income families.

Costumes of all sizes are being collected. They should be bagged along with any accessories. The proceeds are put towards buying costumes for children who find themselves living in local shelters at Halloween, according to the organization’s website.
