The Loudoun Reality Store seeks volunteers for the program,
designed to give high school seniors a slice of future life.
Through the program, students experience a simulation aimed at providing an understanding of goal setting, decision-making, financial choices and career planning.
Conducting the program for one day requires about 70 volunteers, who are needed for less than four hours, from 8:15 a.m. to noon.
Volunteers do not need a background in finance or education, and will receive a brief orientation before the event. To learn more about this program, visit this link for a two-minute, informational video: https://vimeo.com/56765723.
The Reality Store program a collaboration of the Virginia Cooperative Extension 4-H and more than 70 volunteers representing various community groups. The Reality Store is made possible through financial contributions of several community organizations and businesses through the Loudoun Volunteer Financial Council.
