‘On Par for Pink’ Tourney Benefits Tigerlily

The foundation's golf tournament at Lansdowne aims to highlight advocacy and empowerment for young women affected by breast cancer.

Earlier this year, the Tigerlily Foundation announced its first On Par for Pink Celebrity Golf Classic, designed to raise awareness and funds for young women diagnosed with breast cancer.

WUSA*9 sports anchor and reporter Kristen Berset will serve as host of the inaugural event Sept. 25 at the Lansdowne Golf Resort.

“I’m so excited to launch our inaugural On Par for Pink Celebrity Golf Classic,” said Tigerlily founder Maimah Karmo. “The event will draw new supporters and engage our current supporters in a new way.”

Local business leaders, influential sports figures and media in the D.C. Metro Area, including Chick Hernandez, anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet, are expected on the course for the tournament.

Funds raised at On Par for Pink will help Tigerlily to educate, support and empower young women, ages 15 – 40, before, during and after the diagnosis of breast cancer.
