Rotary Collection Benefits Inova’s Mobile Hope

The Ashburn club donated more than 300 pounds of school supplies for homeless youth in Loudoun.

Members of the Rotary Club of Ashburn last week delivered more than 300 pounds of school supplies to the Inova Loudoun Mobile Hope Bus office at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne. Backpacks, notebooks, other basic school supplies and hygiene products were among the items Ashburn residents donated.

“We’d like to thank our neighbors and local business leaders who took the time and effort to donate supplies for this worthwhile cause,” said Justina Dee, the club’s service committee chair. “Mobile Hope is regularly contacted by school officials on behalf of at risk kids for help, and it’s good to know that there will be an inventory of needed supplies when those calls are placed.”

The Mobile Hope Bus serves Loudoun’s homeless youth by providing food, clothes, hygiene products, school supplies and medical care.
