Ghost 5K, Angry Birds, Monster Mash, Dog Dash, Who's Bad and More

Monster Mash. Hayrides, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, street performers, local craft vendors, live music and more. Children's costume contest. Free. 3 p.m. Saturday. The Village at Leesburg. 1602 Village Market Blvd. SE, Leesburg.

Monster Dog Dash. Caring Hands Animal Hospital hosts its annual open house, with a little something extra this year. Families can walk the 1 mile dog dash course with their pups. There will also be local shelters on hand with dogs available for adoption. Open house is free. $20 suggested donation for dog dash. 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Caring Hands Animal Hospital, 43300 Southern Walk Plaza, Suite 124, Ashburn.

Ghost, Goblins & Ghouls Spooktacular 5K. Runners are encouraged to run in costume and enter the costume contest before the race! There's also a Scarecrow Sprint fun run for kids following the race. $35, $17 for ages 18 and under. 4 p.m. Saturday. Paxton Campus, 601 Catoctin Circle, Leesburg.

Halloween Party with Who's Bad. 
Tally Ho Theatre is hosting a Thriller of a Halloween party with Who's Bad, the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band. $50 prize in the Who's Bad costume contest. From $20. 8 p.m. Saturday. Tally Ho Theatre, 19 West Market Street, Leesburg.

Angry Birds Corn Maze. 
Wayside Farm designed its corn maze like the popular game and is “launching” birds all the way to Iowa. Farm includes hayrides, pig races, slides and playgrounds. $10 (ages 2 and under admitted free). 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday thru Sunday. 5273 Harry Byrd Highway, Berryville.
