LEAFS and Stuffing, Poe Mysteries, Battlefield Benefit, Turkey Trains and More

LEAFS and Stuffing. Fall staples? Yes, but with a twist. A family fun event this weekend asks attendees to stuff an electric Nissan LEAF with canned goods for the Capital Area Food Bank. There will also be giveaways, a chance to meet the Redskins cheerleaders, test drives, face painting and more. Free. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Macy's Court, Dulles Town Center Mall, 21100 Dulles Town Circle, Potomac.

Local Theatre Goes Poe. Lots of local theater opportunities on the calendar this weekend, including "Nevermore — Edgar Allen Poe The Final Mystery." The play looks at the last five days of the celebrated dark poet and author. $10, $5 students/children. 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday. Briar Woods High School, 22525 Belmont Ridge Road, Ashburn.

Barn Dance Benefit. Tongue twister: Balls Bluff Battlefield Benefit Barn Dance. Music from Short Hill Mountain Boys with caller Rock Candy. Dress is barn dance casual, period clothes or Civil War uniforms. Proceeds benefit the Balls Bluff Battlefield. More info. 6 p.m. Saturday. Thankful Little Engine. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Lake Fairfax Park is offering an early dose of family fun. Kids can Ride the Turkey Train, learn Native American hunting skills and make a Thanksgiving craft to take home. $5. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive, Reston.

Rock Royalty. Lisa Marie Presley brings her Southern rock sound to the Wolf Trap. The performance is sure to include music from her 2012 release, “Storm & Grace.” $40. 8 p.m. Saturday. The Barns at Wolf Trap, 1635 Trap Road, Vienna.
