Nearly Naked Running, Comedy Meat, Beagle Buddies and Art Shows

Comedy Meat, Headline Laughs. There will be three shots at laughter in Purcellville. Last Ham Standing brings its improvisation, games and audience gags. $12, discounts for students and children. 8 p.m. Friday. $12. Doggies Dishing. A cute collection of pups is a guarantee for the Beagle Meetup hosted by DC Beagles. The indoor event will have an area fenced off just for the beagles. You can bring your dog toys. Free. 11 a.m. Sunday. Healthy Hound Playground, 45910 Transamerica Plaza #109, Sterling.

Canvas Travels. You won't have to leave Leesburg to get a perspective on different countries. For Six Artists, Three Countries, six artists have come together to share their love of painting and travel. Opening reception. Free. 5:30 p.m. Friday. ArtSquare 12 Cardinal Park Dr. SE, Leesburg.

(Nearly) Naked Runners. Boxers, sports bras and bikinis are suggested attire for the Nearly Naked Mile to benefit the Medstar Washington Hospital Burn Center. The first 800 registered runners get commemorative boxer shorts and winners in different categories win Naked Mile bathrobes. $30. On-site registration begins at 11 a.m. Saturday. Races begin at 2 p.m. Reston Town Center. 11900 Market St., Reston.

Picture People. Photographers travel to Northern Virginia this weekend for the Nature Visions Photo Expo. The event includes classes and seminars organized by area photography clubs. An exhibit hall will have more than 300 images for sale. Admission to the expo floor Saturday and Sunday is free, along with access to two juried photo galleries. Register online. 9:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
