Traffic Alert: Weekend Events to Cause Delays around Loudoun County

A host of events taking place this weekend in Ashburn, Brambleton, Hamilton and Leesburg could put a damper on your commute. Use this guide to plan your travels accordingly.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is urging drivers to being mindful of multiple events this weekend that could cause traffic delays.

A weekend-long event at Leesburg's Morven Park on Route 15 at Tutt Lane could cause traffic congestion Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. both days.

A parade in Hamilton could cause delays along Colonial Highway Saturday between Route 704 and N. Reid Street from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

A festival taking place Saturday on Ashburn's Russell Branch Parkway and Savin Hill Drive could cause traffic delays between 2 and 8 p.m. A race taking place the same day could cause delays on Ashburn Village Boulevard, Lexington Drive, Atwater Drive and Ashbrook Place.

A Brambleton bicycle race could cause delays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the following areas: 

  • Olympia Drive (between Soave Drive and Regal Wood Drive,
  • Soave Drive (between Olympia Drive and Brambleton Town Center Drive),
  • Regal Wood Drive (between Olympia Drive and Brambleton Town Center Drive).
