K White Tigers Martial Arts is newly opened but Master Kang has been teaching for years. My son has been a student of his for 3 years at another do jang. It's fantastic that Master Kang has been able to open his own do jang. Even though we live in DC, we drive to Ashburn so my son can train with Master Kang. I have watched my shy, unfocused child develop confidence, focus, self-displine, maturity and physical fitness under Master Kang's caring instruction. I have seen even the youngest students enter class with confidence, excitement and respect. Master Kang obviously loves working with children and they certainly love the class. Master Kang's training at Yong In University in Korea is obvious in his instruction. His is a holistic approach that incorporates all aspects of Tae Kwon Do as important: discipline, focus, confidence, physical fitness and attention to the exact form.
My son is now in the adult class and I am pleased to say that the joy in teaching that Master Kang shows in his children's classes is just as strong in the adult classes. The class has a mix of men, women and teens with different levels of physical ability. All are made to feel welcome and taught from their own level of ability. The goal is to grow in Tae Kwon Do and it's fun to watch that happening with each student.
I am so thankful that Master Kang has opened K White Tigers and I'm looking forward to watching my son become a strong, disciplined, fit young man under Master Kang's tutelage. -pam
