Newton-Lee Elementary School, located along Gloucester Parkway just west of Claiborne Parkway, is home to the Explorers. The Loudoun County School Board named the school in honor of two Loudoun residents who died at the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001: Christopher Newton and Dong Chul Lee. Principal Carol A. Winters heads up the school, where the mission is to educate children in a safe, nurturing environment.
