Is it me; but doesn't it seem like the LCSO can't solve crimes to save anyone's life, but has no problem enforcing parking violations, speeding violations and harrassing teenagers. Instead of driving around the neighborhoods issuing parking violations, try actually solving cases.   more ›

Summer Kicks Off With a Bang

Ashburn Farm throws one heck of a party, packing Windmill Drive for music, food, fun and fireworks.

Ashburn Farm's Summer Kickoff drew families from all over the community, packing Windmill Drive with wall-to-wall people. The band Back N time performed, while kids enjoyed the inflatable slide, rides and face painting. Food and activities were in ample supply. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department helped keep everyone safe by blocking vehicle traffic and ushering pedestrians across a busy Ashburn Farm Parkway. Parking was in sparse supply, but no one seemed to mind thanks to fantastic weather.

The closest homes will be those now under construction across Ashburn Village Boulevard. Those fields are also adjacent to an elementary school site, which will also have a lighted field. “One thing that has been consistent throughout this process is that citizens, organizations and elected officials have brought forward innovative ideas and …

Graffiti Under Investigation

Multiple incidents in Ashburn Farm reported to sheriff's office

Reports of graffiti in Ashburn Farm are under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, according to Tom Whiting, the general manager for the Ashburn Farm Community Association. During the last few days, a considerable number of graffiti markings have been spotted throughout the community. "Devil's Crew" has been written in several locations in permanent marker on Ashburn Farm property, Whiting reported. Anyone who spots someone else defacing common area property, is asked to call the sheriff's nonemergency number, 703-777-1021.  Anyone caught vandalizing the property will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, according to Whiting.
