Pedestrian Killed Crossing Route 28 A woman was killed early Sunday morning after attempting to cross Route 28 near the Dulles Toll Road. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of a female struck while attempting to cross the road around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Investigators were working to identify the victim, who died at the scene. Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged a woman with assault on law enforcement and disorderly conduct after she struck a deputy during an attempt to take her into custody. Officers responded to a fight in progress on the 19200 block of Promenade Drive at the Lansdowne Town Center shortly after 1 a.m. Dec. 1 and attempted to take a reportedly disorderly Franchesca L. Wiley, 26, of Leesburg, into custody when she struck a deputy several times, according to an LCSO report. In addition to the assault and disorderly charges, Wiley received a summons for public intoxication. Deputies also charged Sassafrass A. A Richmond man will serve time in prison for 2011 malicious wounding at Finnegan’s Pub.
A Loudoun Circuit Court Judge Burke F. McCahill sentenced Paradise Ron Boy Bryan Carter, of Richmond, to 10 years in prison, with another 10 years of probation, for a Dec. 26, 2011 incident in which he assaulted a woman at Finnegan’s Irish Pub in Ashburn Village, according to the Loudoun Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. After a woman said something that offended Carter, 38, he punched her in the face, causing her to fall backward and strike her head on the bar on the way to the floor, according to a report from the commonwealth’s attorney. He then leapt onto the unconscious victim and began to strangle her, according to the report. Bar staff and other patrons had to pull Carter off the woman. Investigators hope the show prompts someone to come forward with information about the missing Ashburn mother.
Bethany Anne Decker has been missing since Jan. 29, 2011. Her family and investigators hope an episode of Investigation Discovery channel’s Disappeared focusing on the Ashburn mother will lead to new information in the case. The show first aired Nov. 26, but is set to rerun at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and again at 2 a.m. Dec. 3. Investigators in the case are seeking anyone with information about Decker in the days before and after her disappearance. She was last seen at her Ashburn apartment by her then-boyfriend. The Disappeared episode clears up many questions about why there appeared to be two men in Decker’s life. Both men have been questioned in the case. Possession, Unlawful Entry Denis Ochan, 21, of Sterling, was charged with unlawful entry, public intoxication and misdemeanor possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after a resident reported seeing the man enter the crawl space of a home in Ashburn shortly after 12:30 a.m. Nov. 2. Deputies reported to the scene and issued the charges. DUI, Eluding Terrence G. Bowser, 40, of Ashburn, was charged with a DUI, felony eluding and driving on a revoked license after passing through Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office “checking detail” at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1. Tuesday night incident
Police have charged 25-year-old Justin Tirell Anderson, of Ashburn, with attempted second degree murder and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony after an incident Tuesday in Gaithersburg, MD, according to the city's police department. Police responded to a trauma facility Tuesday evening after someone reported a adult male had arrived with multiple gunshot wounds, Gaithersburg police officer Dan Lane told Gaithersburg Patch. The victim was last reported in critical but stable condition at a hospital in Gaithersburg. Anderson is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center. Concealed Weapon Charge Near Pipeline Plaza Tristan A.
