LCSO to Increase Theater Presence

In aftermath of Colorado massacre, the sheriff’s office takes precautions.

The shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, CO, appears to have been an isolated incident, according to information coming from law enforcement, but as a precaution, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office plans to increase its presence around county movie theaters. Twelve people were killed and 58 injured in Aurora when a gunman opened fire on moviegoers attending the midnight July 20 opening of "The Dark Knight Rises." An LCSO press release makes clear that the increase presence is in no way related to a threat in Loudoun. Residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles or events by calling 703-777-1021.
