Fairfax County Police worked with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office to arrest a Reston man Monday for his alleged involvement in the February robbery of the Bank of America in the Regal Plaza in the Countryside area, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. Investigators believe Tevin D. Morris, 21, of Reston, is the man alleged who entered the bank shortly after 11 a.m. on Feb. 14 and handed the teller a note implying he had a weapon. The note demanded cash and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said they were able to identify the suspect with the assistance of several tips from the public. LCSO seeks help identifying suspect in Valentine’s Day holdup in CountrySide.
A man walked into the Bank of America at the Regal Plaza shopping center in CountrySide shortly after 11 a.m. today, handed a teller a note and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reported early Thursday afternoon. Investigators are now on the scene in Sterling, where the suspect – described as a 6-foot black man with a goatee, wearing sunglasses and a black and gray hat bearing the number 686 – implied to the teller that he possessed a weapon. It's not clear if the suspect was in fact armed. Witnesses said the man also wore a heavy black jacket and a black shirt during the holdup.
