Local Track Stars Score Wins at Hershey’s Finals

Four local athletes perform well in national track and field event.

Several local athletes brought home awards from the Hershey Track and Field Finals held last weekend, including Ashburn’s Beau Everett, who captured 1st place in the 400m for 9- and 10-year-olds with a time of 108.4. Following a 35th place finish in the 400m event at the Junior Olympics in New Orleans, kept a positive attitude going into the final race. “I know I’m already a winner!” he exclaimed. Everett is a rising 5th grader at Newton-Lee Elementary School and is a member of the Special Forces Track Club.
