Ashburn Teen Faces Sexual Battery, Abduction Charges

The charges came after alleged incident Tuesday at Broad Run High School.

An Ashburn teen was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of aggravated sexual battery and abduction with the intent to defile after a Tuesday incident at Broad Run High School, according to information just released from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The 15-year-old suspect’s name has not been released because he is a juvenile. The teenager, a student at the school, allegedly grabbed a female student around 4 p.m. March 12 and pulled her into an empty hallway against her will, according to the report. The victim was able to escape and flee. The victim reported the incident to an LCSO School Resource Officer assigned to the school, and the department’s Criminal Investigations Division became involved. As of Friday morning, the …

[Broad Run High School provided this article.] Broad Run High School’s Class of 2013 hit the Twittosphere this week in an attempt to lure Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III to the school’s graduation ceremony this spring. Twitter users just might come across the message: “Spartans Caught GRIFFINFever! Won’t you B R graduationspeaker?” Hundreds of seniors, along with faculty and staff, have been “Griffining” in the stands of Broad Run’s stadium, the principal’s office, library, school store, gymnasium, cafeteria and on top of the hallway lockers, according to a message from the school. U.S. Army Band to Play at Broad Run Saturday

Don’t miss the free holiday season performance by The Band of the Nation’s Capital.

The 257th Army Band, The Band of the Nation's Capital, will perform a holiday concert at Broad Run High School at 7:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 8. The event is free and open to the public, so don’t miss the opportunity to jump into the holiday season with musical fanfare. Planned songs include Joy to the World, Sleigh Ride and more. The concert is expected to last until about 9 p.m.
