Patch offers a free webpage to businesses within its coverage areas; nearby businesses can pay for a listing.
Among the information Patch strives to provide for its readers is a directory of businesses that serve residents in the communities we cover. In the directory, customers can find business descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and much more for stores and restaurants around town. All Patch readers—in addition to being able to post free events and announcements—can rate businesses in the directory on a scale of one to five stars and can add a review. But many business owners don't realize they can “claim” their listing, giving them more control over their Patch page.
