Group says they plan "open carry march" from Virginia into Washington, DC.
Talk about fireworks. A group that says it plans to march from Virginia into DC on the Fourth of July with loaded guns — a violation of DC gun laws — is being met with resistance by DC's Chief of Police Cathy Lanier. "Passing into the district with loaded firearms is a violation of the law and it will be treated as such,” Lanier said during an interview with NewsChannel 8. Lanier says police will stop the march on the Arlington Memorial Bridge, mentioned as the route to be taken by the group.
