Money raised by the Masquerade Ball and Silent Auction goes back to the community, helping local people in need build a home of their own.
For the second year, Loudoun Habitat for Humanity has planned a Masquerade Ball and Silent Auction. Established in 1993, Loudoun Habitat has built or rehabilitated 21 houses in Loudoun County, serving about 80 people. During the past two to three years, Habitat has built three new homes in western Loudoun in the Village of St. Louis, just north of Middleburg, and purchased, rehabbed and resold six foreclosed properties in the eastern part of the county…

Holidays have you stir crazy? Get the family out of the house for an evening of laughs that helps the local Habitat for Humanity
Friday evening, after too many hours of turkey and football watching, plan to get out of the house for an evening filled with laughter at the River Creek Club in Leesburg. This is an annual event hosted by the Loudoun Habitat for Humanity that is designed to be filled with humor and relaxation while helping local families. Tickets cost $40 and proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. In the past, 300 to 400 people have attended the event. Friday's event, which starts at 8:00pm, is headlined by the Capitol Steps. If you have never seen the Capitol Steps before, it is an engaging political comedy group that began as a group of Senate staffers. The Capitol Steps have been featured on National Public Radio, NBC, CBS and ABC. Habitat for …
