Fun Activities for Kids on Spring Break

Looking for places to go with the kids this week? Patch has created a list of places to go for indoor exercise, fun or knowledge.

With cold weather in the forecast and many families home for "staycations" this week, here are a few ideas for places to go and let the kids burn some energy and have fun: Please call ahead. Some of these camps may be full by Monday morning. But also check if you missed early registration to see if you can still get in for the rest of the week.

Bazooka Ball Sports Opens in Ashburn

Facility offers fun activities for kids, new option for the area.

Looking for things to do with the kids over spring break? It's a good time to check out Bazooka Ball Sports in Ashburn, near Sport Bounce of Ashburn and Jumping Jack Sports. Bazooka Ball, which opened Feb. 17, is Ashburn's newest entertainment spot for kids ages 6-16, offering a range of games and sports all at the same time. One game called Aeroball involves trampolines and combines elements of volleyball and basketball. The game is played with two people, each trying to put a soft ball into a hoop at each end of the "court." "It's a lot of fun," said owner Abdul Alqassab. The facility’s namesake, Bazooka Ball, is played in an indoor glow-in-the-dark arena.
