Deputies with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested three male suspects near Leesburg following a theft from a jewelry store at the Dulles Town Center Friday, Sept. 7. According to an LCSO report, two men entered Fink’s Jewelry store in the mall around 3:30 p.m. One of the suspects used a small blunt object to break a glass jewelry case, while a second suspect grabbed a number of watches valued at more than $100,000. The suspects then fled. Deputies responded to the scene and an alert was issued for the suspects. A 19-year-old Purcellville man was charged following a domestic dispute over property on the 22000 block of Ayr Hill Court at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 10. A GPS device and sunglasses were reported taken from two unlocked vehicles parked in an open garage on the 43200 block of Summithill Court between 8 p.m. Aug. 9 and 1:30 a.m. Aug. 10. Four vehicles were entered, and an iPod touch and change were reported taken, on the 20900 block of Hollyberry Court between 10 p.m. Aug. 11 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 12. Car Accident A driver plowed into electrical utility boxes near the corner of Loudoun County Parkway and Hamilton Chapel Terrace just after 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6. Witnesses reported that a 1998 Honda Civic traveling southbound in the left lane on Loudoun County Parkway when it gradually drifted into the right lane, onto the shoulder, through wooden barrier and across a median before striking the electrical boxes. Because the incident involved live electricity, the scene took several hours to clean up. The driver, a 22-year-old Sterling man who was not wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital and listed in critical condition. Woman Dies After Belmont Ridge Accident An Ashburn woman has died as a result of injuries she received last month during an accident along Belmont Ridge Road just south of Luck Lane. A 35-year-old Chantilly man heading northbound on Belmont Ridge in a 2008 Lexus Sedan just before 9 p.m. July 21 crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2006 Honda Pilot, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Jhansi L. Bellapu, 62, of Ashburn, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where she died Aug. 2, according to the report. Drug-related Assault A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputy at Inova Loudoun Hospital on July 23 in Lansdowne became away of a 15-year-old boy being treated for injuries from an assault believed to be drug related. The teen reported to the deputy that an unknown person assaulted him near the 43300 block of Hay Road at 10:30 p.m. July 21. The suspect reportedly took money and narcotics from the victim. Attempted Abduction Reported in Belmont Greene An 11-year-old boy reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office that a white car pulled up to him along the 42800 block of Kirkland Street just before 9 p.m. July 16 and the driver told him to get in. The child refused to get in the car, according to an LCSO report, and the car left the area. The boy reported that several people were in the vehicle, including black female passenger. Teen Assaulted by Man in Pickup A 19-year-old teenager reported that the driver of a gray pickup truck, described as either Asian or Hispanic, approached the teen, jumped out of the vehicle and then began to chase the teen around 3:38 a.m. July 13. According to a report given the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the teen said the driver made reference to a water balloon that hit his truck and then assaulted him. Suspicious Event A resident reported that a man in a white van on several occasions waved to children on the 21800 block of Blossom Hill Terrace around 4:30 p.m. May 30. The man did not make physical or verbal contact. Deputies are attempting to identify the man, described as Hispanic and in his 40s. Brandishing Weapon Deputies held a man on an emergency custody order after reporting to the 44200 block of Suscon Square where the man was wielding a knife and making threats around 4 p.m. June 5. A Hispanic male in his early 20s with short black hair reportedly displayed a gun to a group of five juveniles in the Ashburn Village shopping center around 9:15 p.m.. According to a report compiled by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, one of the juveniles yelled toward the suspect vehicle after it sped into the shopping center’s parking lot. The suspect then left, heading toward Ashburn Village Boulevard. The incident remains under investigation. Why doesn't the board stop approving new homes. Been here 25 years and all i've seen is new homes, more people, more kids, more schools and more traffic. I'm a school employee as well and think people who don't work for school think we're getting something they're not. We're not getting anything special.
