Ashburn's Lightspeed Rescue Films First Video: 'Keep Your Body Moving'
After playing Loudon's YouthFest, the local group takes the next step as a band.
Loudoun Youth’s 2011 Battle of the Bands winner Lightspeed Rescue continues to build on its success, and this month released a music video for the single, “Keep Your Body Moving.” Lightspeed Rescue, or LSR, is a 6-piece funk, hip-hop band comprised mostly of area high school students. By winning the Battle of the Band contest in April, LSR earned the opportunity to open for The Maine, a professional touring band, at YouthFest. The band, which formed in 2007 at Briar Woods High School, released their first EP, Celebration, on iTunes in May and the music video is the next step as they seek the limelight.
