The Loudoun sheriff joined other law enforcement chiefs at meeting with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
Loudoun Sheriff Mike Chapman joined Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, senior law enforcement officials from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and former New York, Los Angeles and Boston Police Chief Bill Bratton Wednesday at the White House. The group discussed strides made in securing United States borders, immigration issues affecting local police forces and the importance of immigration reform. Sheriff Mike Chapman has scheduled time for coffee, candy canes and conversation in Ashburn.
Loudoun County Sheriff Michael L. Chapman’s next in a series of informal meetings with the community takes places Friday, Dec. 7 at Coney Island Diner in Ashburn. Chapman will answer questions and discuss public safety concerns. In the spirit of the holidays, the coffee and conversation will include candy canes. Residents are encouraged to attend and give their comments or concerns or ask questions. When: 9 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7 Where: Coney Island Diner, 44121 Harry Byrd Highway, Ashburn Sheriff Chapman will hold similar events around the county in the coming months.
