This season the bus will operate out of Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm during every weekend and holiday game for the 2013 season, starting with opening day April 1. The Washington Redskins Quarterback had a bite at Clyde’s Monday.
Hotshot Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had dinner at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in Broadlands Monday as he nurses his knee back to health. The young pigskin tosser known as RGIII has made an impact on Ashburn, not just with because his team’s headquarters, Redskins Park, is here, but also because of his apparent connection to the community. After the 2011 Heisman trophy winner appeared at a Broad Run High School football game in October that doubled as breast cancer awareness event, seniors at the school made a Twitter-infused pitch to lure him to their graduation ceremony this year. [Editor’s note: Time to check the status of that request.] All eyes are certain to be on RGIII when he takes the field this year after …

The NFL team updated fans with the statement about the quarterback’s knee surgery Wednesday.
Dr. James R. Andrews, of the Andrew’s Institute Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, issued the following update on injured Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III, commonly called RGIII. "Robert Griffin III had successful knee surgery early this morning. He had a direct repair of his LCL and a redo of his previous ACL reconstruction,” Andrews said in a press release. “We expect a full recovery and it is everybody's hope and belief that due to Robert's high motivation, he will be ready for the 2013 season. Customers enjoy food and drink specials, big screen TV viewing, but not a win as the Redskins fell 24-14 to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL playoffs.
Leesburg restaurants, hoping to draw in football fans on Sunday, spent the afternoon preparing for the Redskins' first home playoff game since 1999. They got the fans – but their team couldn't secure a win, as the Redskins fell at home to the Seattle Seahawks 24-14. The Baltimore Ravens beat the the Indianapolis Colts 24-9 and will head to play the Denver Broncos. And though the Washington Redskins were taking to the field Sunday hoping to finish their day by packing for a trip to Atlanta to play the Falcons next week, now the Seahawks will head to the Georgia Dome instead. Before that, spirits were high in Leesburg. At The Green Turtle, the pregame excitement was building with fans arriving well before kickoff to watch the game on one of …

The Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks are in.
The Washington Redskins fell to the Seattle Seahawks 24-14 Sunday in a disappointing loss for a team on the rise. Despite the loss, the team clearly has a solid foundation for the future. After dominating the first quarter and storming to a 14-0 lead, Robert Griffin III hurt and already injured and braced knee. He continued, a move criticized by some, but did not finish the game. Seattle nearly evened the score by halftime at 14-13. Neither team could muster a score in the third quarter, but the Seahawks pushed through with another 11 points in the fourth quarter, while shutting down the Redskins for the win. Earlier in the day, the Baltimore Ravens knocked No. 1 draft pick Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts out of the playoffs at …

Even the carpet has flecks of red and gold in Jimmy Duvall's Redskins man cave in Manassas Park.
For all the Washington Redskins fans out there who think you have the ultimate man cave, chances are you ain’t got nothing on Jimmy Duvall. When he and his wife, Tonya, decided five years ago to build an addition in the backyard of their Manassas Park home, he decided the new room over the garage would be his Redskins man cave. “I built it because we throw a lot of parties and I got tired of cleaning my house,” Duvall said. “It’s funny because I have a lot of friends who are (Dallas) Cowboys fans, but even they come up here and like it.” Redskins helmets, flags, plaques, jerseys, mugs, cups and scoreboards fill the walls and surround the windows. Even the carpet has flecks of maroon and gold. About 80 percent of the memorabilia Duvall owns…
Washington welcomes Seattle, while Baltimore lures the Indianapolis Colts to its nest to wrap up wildcard weekend.
Mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-40s are expected around game time Sunday when the Washington Redskins welcome the Seattle Seahawks to FedEx Field for the final wildcard game of the 2012 NFL playoffs. The Redskins’ first home postseason game in 13 years marks the first return to the NFL playoffs since 2007 when the Redskins lost to the Seahawks in Seattle. If all goes well Sunday, home-field advantage will have the same impact it did in 1999 when the Redskins beat the Detroit Lions. Find more Redskins playoff history here. Maybe Robert Griffin III – RG3 – will pull off another run against the Seahawks like this Oct. 14 performance against the Minnesota Vikings? Check out the video of the RGIII touchdown run. Too many athletes let their popularity go to their head and their common sense out the window and forget they are a role model for young people -from on and off the field. RGIII hasn't let that happen to himself. If he is available and agrees to be the graduation speaker, I feel he will be able to deliver a very meaningful speech these young people will understand and know he is trying to start …   more ›
