Suspect Charged in May 2011 Pedestrian Hit and Run
A 20-year-old Ashburn woman was identified as the driver of the vehicle in Gloucester Parkway accident.
Eight months after a vehicle struck a woman attempting to cross Gloucester Parkway at Ashburn Ponds Boulevard, a 20-year-old Ashburn woman has charged with felony hit and run, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators allege that Brittany A. Harris was driving the dark-color four-door that struck the 55-year-old victim around 7:20 p.m. May 12, 2011, and then left the scene. The victim was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital for serious injuries following the accident, and has since been released. Witness statements and evidence at the scene helped LCSO investigators ID a possible make and model on the vehicle. The investigation eventually led to the driver’s identity.
