Ashburn Crime Report: Sept. 14-27

The following incidents in the community were reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Graffiti Graffiti, including language and images described as obscene, were reported at the following locations between 10 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Sept. 15: Tampering with an ATM Someone reportedly attempted to gain entry to an ATM on the 42400 block of Regal Wood Drive between 10 p.m. and 11:46 p.m. Sept. 14. The ATM was damaged. Burglary Power tools were reported moved, but nothing was missing following an apparent burglary on the 19800 block of Belmont Ridge Road around noon Sept. 27. Larceny, Destruction of Property The previous information was supplied by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and, where charges were made, does not indicate a conviction. Ashburn Crime Report: July 5-15

Assault, a pedestrian death, larceny and destruction of property among Ashburn incidents reported to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Teen Assaulted by Man in Pickup A 19-year-old teenager reported that the driver of a gray pickup truck, described as either Asian or Hispanic, approached the teen, jumped out of the vehicle and then began to chase the teen around 3:38 a.m. July 13. According to a report given the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the teen said the driver made reference to a water balloon that hit his truck and then assaulted him. The driver was further described as a male with very short, dark hair. McLean Pedestrian Dies in Ashburn Village A 21-year-old McLean man was struck by a commercial vehicle near Route 7 and Ashburn Village Boulevard around 12:43 a.m. July 12. Ashburn Crime Report

Recent incidents reported by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Suspicious Event A resident reported that a man in a white van on several occasions waved to children on the 21800 block of Blossom Hill Terrace around 4:30 p.m. May 30. The man did not make physical or verbal contact. Deputies are attempting to identify the man, described as Hispanic and in his 40s. Brandishing Weapon Deputies held a man on an emergency custody order after reporting to the 44200 block of Suscon Square where the man was wielding a knife and making threats around 4 p.m. June 5. Destruction of Property, Larceny The previous information was supplied by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and, where charges were made, does not indicate a conviction. Crime Report: Thefts Continue in Ashburn

Larceny and destruction of property continue as highest reported crimes in community.

Possession Stolen Property, Marijuana Deputies filed several charges against Kevin P. King, 19, of Ashburn, April 1 after reportedly catching him with stolen property. A caller reported to the sheriff’s office that subjects were entering vehicles in the area of Florence Terrace between 10:30 p.m. March 31 and 8 a.m. April 1. Deputies the located a vehicle occupied by King on the 44100 block of Ashburn Village Shopping Plaza. Deputies charged King with two counts of possession of stolen property, one misdemeanor possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana. Crime Report: Gun Waved at Juveniles at Ashburn Village

Incidents reported during the past week to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A Hispanic male in his early 20s with short black hair reportedly displayed a gun to a group of five juveniles in the Ashburn Village shopping center around 9:15 p.m.. According to a report compiled by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, one of the juveniles yelled toward the suspect vehicle after it sped into the shopping center’s parking lot. The suspect then left, heading toward Ashburn Village Boulevard. The incident remains under investigation. A resident of the 45000 block of Brae Terrace near George Washington University in Ashburn reported seeing an unknown Asian male standing outside a glass door around 3 p.m. Jan. 14. The resident described the man as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a navy blue winter coat. The unknown man fled on …

Crime Report: Child Suffers Minor Injuries from Window Fall

Larceny, destruction of property dominate this week's update from the Eastern Loudoun Sheriff's Station.

On Monday morning, June 27, a 2-year-old boy fell from a window on Trumpet Circle. The child appeared to only have minor injuries after the fall at around 8:20 a.m., but was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital as a precaution.
