GOP Targets MWAA as Campaign Issue

Republicans elected to represent Loudoun’s at various levels blame authority’s ails on Kaine.

A group of Republicans who represent Loudoun residents at the local, state and federal level gathered in front of the old Loudoun Courthouse to decry the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, call for changes and attempt to pin the authority’s woes on Democrat, U.S. Senate candidate and former governor Tim Kaine. U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10), who previously pushed legislation through to expand Virginia’s representation on the MWAA’s board of directors, has now introduced legislation to completely re-work that board, heavily weighting it toward Virginia. “Both airports, the Dulles Toll Road and the Silver Line extension are all in Virginia,” Wolf said. “Would anyone think that Virginia should have majority control over the operations …

Reader Questions Mitchell's Voting Record

Shawn Mitchell faces Dick Black in the run the new 13th Senate District.

HONOR, COURAGE AND COMMITMENT Is Democrat Shawn Mitchell really asking me to vote for him, when he only bothered to vote three times in his whole life?  Really?  I have been a regular voter my entire life since 1964 as a young Marine overseas.  I sacrifice my time to learn about the issues, read up on the candidates and vote.  Meanwhile, Democrat candidate Shawn Mitchell couldn’t be bothered.  Mitchell has never even voted for the office he now seeks. Where is his commitment? If Shawn Mitchell did not care about the direction our state was headed in until now, what makes him think he’s ready to lead us out of this mess?  He is so new to the democratic process that even the Democrats on the Loudoun Country Democrat Committee thought he was …

My comments are not made based on conservative versus progressive, just logic - which is reflected in Shawn Mitchell's bipartisan support and endorsements. Its about truth not spun mistruths the Black campaign has blinded you by. You obviously didn't shift through the court records, as you would notice the Times was quoting from a counter-suit.
