Cindy Chambers, an Inova Loudoun Hospital board member, wrote a book series intended to help kids meet the wonderful doctors and other health professionals who work at the hospital. Chambers wanted children to read the books and become more aware of how a hospital works and the machinery they may encounter, to make visits less intimidating. The four-book Beamer Book Series features a dog –you guessed it, named Beamer – as the main character.
