About Jennifer

I was born in Hawaii and grew up in a small town in Central Maine.  My love affair with writing began very early on, but by the time I was 11 years old I put a plan into action and started a local newspaper, the "Neighborhood Gazette."  My sister, best friend and I wrote, edited and printed the newspaper from our home computers and sold them for 50 cents each to our neighbors.

At Syracuse University I studied speech communication and political science and spent four years interning at various news stations and a senator's office.  After graduating, I fell into an event planning career and have spent seven years as a professional wedding and event planner.

I am very active in the community, with various nonprofit organizations and schools, and I dedicate a few hours each week to writing my novel.  I love spending time with my husband and two sons, listening to music, cooking, traveling and attempting to learn Spanish and Italian.

Hi, Jennifer, this is my first time reading the Ashburn Patch. I enjoyed it and will watch for it again.

My husband may have known Joe Schwarz during his early adolescence, and, strangely, My geneology includes a side from the Schwarz family. Is there anyway I could acquire, or just view online, a photo of him during his young teen years? (We don't use facebook or tweet).

Thanks,
Gail Sampson
