The Board
Locally Involved
10:11 am on Thursday, October 25, 2012
Mr. Chisholm:
After reading the threads of the local Patch boards, hopefully you noticed a trend of blatant disrespect for the presidency and disdain for all that are not of a certain ideology.
If you truly wish to win votes - you need to stand up against blatant lies, distortions, and call out when wrongs are committed. And, that may mean democrat and republican.
Evil happens when good men do nothing. And, we have lived too long with pols not wanting to offend anyone by saying they are wrong. And, when we do, we boo. McCain did so while running for presidency when one town hall questioner said Obama was a Muslim.
Stand up for what is true. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Authenticity sells. I say this as a 30 year veteran of Fortune 500 firms.
Otherwise, you get the unproductive banter some of the Patch boards have deteriorated into.
I'd like to see a discussion on transportation issues. Please do suggest that to the local Patch editors directly.
Thank you.
